The Age of Discovery began in the early part of the 15th century and carried on through most of the 17th century. It is sometimes also referred to as the Age of Exploration. This was a time when the people of Europe began to travel, discover, and explore more of the world than ever before, mapping and naming the places they found. They bravely went out on the seas to learn about the world, often never sure if they would find anything at all, let alone ever return home.

In Spain, they don't teach Christopher Columbus came across the New World's. Not that he wasn't a great man, but the Ponzone Family we're the Builders of the Nina, Pinta, Santa Maria. They were also the Navigators of the Journeys. And it was one of the Ponzone Brothers that came across Hispaniola and the South American Continent and the Caribbean. They Celebrate Ponzone Day, I don't recall the town there family is from, but there line can still be traced back to that town in Spain.

Lots of very incorrect claims made in this video. Not a history video when you are so wrong about so many things and leave out key information when making conclusive statements

This channel always has an incredible ability to take a fascinating topic, then explain it in the most boring way possible.

You didn't discuss the widespread human sacrifice and slavery practiced by the Aztecs, Incas, and Mayans. And by the end, this ended up sounding like a commercial for Marxist-Leninism...

The colonizers brought inteligence, science, culture, food, technology, law, roads, farming techniques, trade, history, philosophy, medicines, and much more. So, as a colonizer, you're welcome for not living in a mud hovel and getting raided by some spear chunker or cannibal every few months.
