When I was a kid, I remember my grandmother listening to this news station every morning while getting ready for work. I'm 47 now, and 5 yrs ago my grandmother passed on at the age of 92.Just had to listen to this clip because I was thinking of her and missing her.

During my childhood in the early 1970s, my grandmother consistently tuned in to 1010 WINS in her bedroom, which played incessantly on her clock radio. This station held a monopoly on her listening preferences, as it was the sole channel she relied upon. Presently, at the age of 63, I reflect upon those memories, knowing that my beloved grandmother departed from this world approximately 35 years ago.

It brings back memories. Most of them are good. Staying in bed while my dad was getting ready for work. Knowing it was gonna be a great lazy day. Snuggled under the blanket.
Then growing up and being the person getting ready……😂
It has that nostalgic effect also.
