The Top 10 States Americans are Moving to in 2025. Everyone is Leaving the Worst States and Cities in America, like New York or California, making these the Fastest Growing States in the USA and some of the Best States to Move to!

In order to determine which US states everyone is moving to, (and leaving), we solely looked at what percent of total moves in each state were outbound vs inbound migration. In order to determine the Fastest Growing (and Shrinking) States, we would also look at natural population increase / decrease and international immigration, but that's for another video.
While you probably heard of a mass California exodus and people leaving New York for Texas or Florida, there are also a quite few surprises on this list! Why do so many Americans want to move to some of the best and cheapest states for 2022 (with many being very tax-friendly with TONS of nature)? Well, it's cause they're some of the best places to live in the United States!

My biggest suggestion is to visit the best cities in these states first to decide where you want to move to and live.

Thanks for watching From Here to There! This is another top ten video where we explain cool facts about the world, it's history and geography, starting with the different states, cities, and towns in the United States.

Interesting video, but Arizona, North Carolina, Washington and Texas not making this list totally shocked me.

You should do a list of cities that are best for young people just out of college with factors like nightlife, outdoor activities, and entry level job opportunities.

thank You for the positive words about West Virginia! Its extremely refreshing when we normally get so much negativity put on us

Florida is starting to get more expensive to live in to. The rent prices and cost of houses are skyrocketing unfortunately.

West Virgina and Rhode Island really surprised me. 2021 was the year I actually moved because I was unfortunately evicted. I left Florida to move back to North Carolina to live with my cousin. I so miss living in Florida I had a great life down there. I'm hustling to find a remote job so I can truly enjoy Jacksonville to the fullest and won't have anything holding me back.

I am a New Yorker who is tired of the hustle and bustle of a big, increasingly expensive city and would just like to move to a state where the weather is mild, at least most of the year, someplace clean with hopefully pleasanter people.

About Florida having “Year round warm weather.” Florida is a MASSIVE state with 2 time zones. Theres a huge difference between North Florida and South Florida. North Florida actually gets cold in the winter. It actually snows in the panhandle! (It snowed a few weeks ago). Not all of Florida has the same climate

Very surprised Utah and Colorado were not on this list.

Honestly, I’m surprised that Colorado didn’t make the list. Denver and Colorado Springs have seemed to be getting so crowded. It actually brings down the quality of the state sometimes when so many people are here. Also am shocked about Utah, California, and Texas not being on here but I guess I haven’t looked into it much.

Born in Pennsylvania and raised in Connecticut, I decided in 1972 to leave New England behind and moved to Tucson, Arizona. I have been in the Old Pueblo just over 50 years and have no intention of moving to another city let alone a different state. I would never consider Vermont or Rhode Island as their weather is no better than Connecticut's. If I could afford to, I would move to Hawaii, but maybe the next-best state would be Florida. I am a fan of Food Network's Restaurant Impossible, and a lot of restaurants covered are in the Sunshine State with awesome scenery.

I have lived in South Dakota my whole life. People either love the small amount of people and rural lifestyle or hate it and what to live in more energetic big cities. I personally love it here

I’ve lived in Knoxville Tm for 29 years. Never been affected by any crime. And tons of people are moving here.

I bet not everyone is thinking of moving to Rhode Island, Idaho or Alabama anytime soon let alone by the end of 2022😅

Interesting to see which states are hotspots in 2023! Really helpful for anyone considering a move. Makes planning for the future much easier.

It looks like this video measures the percentage of moves that are inbound vs outbound. States like VT, WV, AL, and SD are on this list because very few people move out. So if relatively few people are moving in but no one is moving out then the state would make the list.

PS, when are you gonna do the best big cities for 2022?

I am actually surprised Georgia didn’t make the list due to the population growth and economic growth in stuff such as film, great video regardless
