Taiwan travel ban expanded to Wenzhou residents amid coronavirus oubreak

The number of Taiwan''s coronavirus infections remains at 10, although the official figure is soaring in China. Two thousand more cases were confirmed in China today, for a total of 17,000. China''s death toll from coronavirus, which now stands at 361, has overtaken Chinese casualties from SARS in 2003.On Sunday, Wenzhou became the most recent Chinese city to go under lockdown to contain the virus. Taiwan has expanded its travel ban on residents of Hubei and Guandong to include residents of Wenzhou. All Chinese citizens will be banned from entry. Any Taiwanese returning from those three areas will be required to complete a 14-day quarantine. Today a Taiwanese national arriving from Guangdong chose to fly back to China upon hearing about the new regulations after landing.
