He is 100% right. It used to be that the Manager dictated what players they wanted, they strategy. It hadn't been like this for 20 years. It's time that the Sporting Director, Chairman, CEO etc supports the manager so they can answer for the areas they oversee.

He’s absolutely right. All the speculation about Conte’s future really damaged Spurs. All Levy had to do was come out and say “we’re fully behind Antonio, he wants to stay here, we want him to stay here, and we’ll deal with a new contract after the season.” Literally all the negativity would’ve gone away. But no. Levy is incapable of doing that. I blame him more for that than on the spending.
