Nemea or Νεμέα (2024) is an ancient historical site in the Peloponnese, Greece. Ancient Nemea was famous for the organization of the Nemean Games every two years for the Panhellenic World. These Games was the second most important sports event in the Ancient Greek world after the Olympic Games. The first Panhellenic Nemean Games took place in 573 BC. At the archeological site of Nemea the Baths, the Nemean Stadium and the Temple of Zeus are still important remains and worth to visit. There is also a local museum dedicated to ancient Nemean.
