The question of assumed mean is incorrect, how can you divide 3000 by 5... Either take LCM, it will become 15000by5=3000 or simply divide 0 by 5 it will become 0 and then add 0 in 3000 =3000. It is very silly mistake from your side as a teacher. By the way explained well.

Sorry mam but you made a mistake in question second of discrete you devided 3000 with 5 but it's wrong as 0 devided by 5 is 0, the answer was 3000 but wrote 600, i have calculated this answer by direct method twice correct answer is 3000
