PZEM-061 AC Power Meter, Inside Look, Part 2

To wrap up this inside look, lets take a peek at some of the variations on this basic meter design.

I've not been able to locate the mfg. web site, under either the Peacefair or Bayite names that are often associated with these meters. That limits the information that can be found about these meters. None the less, there seem to be many variations on this basic meter design. I've listed some of the model numbers below:

80-260V AC meters:

A single reading LCD, 4-button version:
PZEM-002

A 4 reading LCD:
20A - PZEM-021
100A - PZEM-061

A version with TTL serial data port:
w/ 4-reading LED display:
PZEM-004
Bare board w/ USB
PZEM-004T

A 3-reading LCD meter with some sort of maximum current hold:
30A - PZEM-BR2

6.5-100V DC meters:

4-reading LCD:
20A - PZEM-031
100A/75mV shunt: PZEM--051, -101

If anyone has found any other variations on these meters, post up your findings in the comment section below. I'll be trying to acquire a few representative models to test out for various projects.

Is there a zero volt mod like in the PZEM 21 where you lift one leg of the big capacitor for use in a variac?

What about using this PZEM-061 To hook up to a variac supply. I watched a guys video where he connected one but it was slightly different than the one I have.

Hi Brown, Hope you remember, that I told you about my pzem 61 meter burnt upon installing to the outlet of my speed controller, now I have ordered pzem 21 for my project, and it, s with me,  before I make any wrong connection can I fix the load wire to my speed control imput and the out put to the flat pin wall socket, what is your advice to my idea

Thank you for your research into these versatile meters. Are there any variation that allows you to supply a different voltage from the voltage being measured? I'm trying to use an off-the-shelf meter to measure the output from my variac. I'm working with fairly low voltages as I'm working on audio amplifiers.

Hello sir, last week i received two pzem-004t. i write a little python script to read data from the meter, and now i´d like to connect to pzem-004t a esp8266 wifi to send data wireless to a computer. it is possible?

Hi, how do you interface PZEM-004T (which has 13 pins) to an LED display which has 16 pins?

I found this device useful, (BYT-VAEM-034) until I tried to operate via a thyristor speed controller. Not a good idea as the 100 ohm sensing resistor got very hot. If anyone has a work around I would be intersted as this unit is otherwise very useful.
