This is by far the best version and the one I remember listening to when I was young. The orchestration is superb, the guitar perfect. I was such a fan of Rod Stewart..Still am ….it is so good to have one’s youth punctuated with such great songs as this.

It is his very best, at least in my opinion.
It used to be my wife's and my special song when it came out, and now after she has gone from this world, it is even more special to me.

My all time favourite song. No over the top romantic words, just simple poetry, but it cuts into the heart 😭❤️ The music is exquisite it makes me cry and Rod's voice and the way he sang it is perfect 💓💓💓💓💓💓

This song is so underrated...I was growing up with Rod Stewart's music, and it's my mother's favorite as well. There will never be another RS...I have to learn how to play this in my acoustic guitar. Amazing song to play with your acoustic guitar, really.

My mom had this original, on the album Atlantic Crossing, in the good ol' days of vinyl.Fast Side, and Slow Side.I have no idea as to what's on the Fast Side;the Slow Side was all we ever wanted to listen to.This song.It's Not The Spotlight.Sailing.All fabulous songs.

I was just having a very bad day today and had to avoid spending time with a close friend today due to a personal situation that happened to my four year old niece ( she broke her elbow ). Just hearing this song really helped me to feel better even though I was heartbroken for my niece. Thank you for posting this beautiful ballad by Rod Stewart.
