Hayley Hodson was a star athlete, and the future of women’s volleyball. She was the nation’s top pick in the sport, recruited to play for Stanford University. But during her freshman year, a volleyball brought her career to an end. She says she got a series of concussions in games and practices that were never diagnosed. The worst incident came in a game against UCLA. “I took this massive ball off my head that flew hundreds of feet away,” she said. Immediately, she knew something was wrong. #InsideEdition

They left out the part it was a man who hit her

I feel bad she got hurt, but it’s honestly just part of the risk you take when playing the game. There’s no need to sue anyone.

For those missing the point: she’s not complaining she got concussions. She’s aware it’s a sport where that happens. She is more so concerned about the care she received while at the college. It wasn’t adequate enough for the serious nature of not just how many she had but there’s was little care at all. As a collegr, the school should’ve been taking upmost prestigious care of their athletes and make sure they get the medical care they NEED! The concussions weren’t taken seriously; They just gave her water and told her it would be fine.

That is not the full story, feels like the news internally left out a few key details about the lawsuit

Honestly I think people only think of football when they hear concussion injuries from sports but it happens in a lot of sports and I think that should be better stated.

It's time to implement and wear helmets in the game of volleyball to avoid lawsuits and concussions like this one.

She filed a lawsuit to the school she went to, for a sport that she chose to play, KNOWING that there were said possible dangers...
It is not due to the negligence of anybody but herself, I hope that the lawsuit gets thrown out and I can’t even believe she has the fortitude to even attempt to sue a school for something that wasn’t it’s fault.

It's creative how the focus has been changed to the risks of the sport. She's suing the school because of her treatment when she spoke up about the injury (that last spike) being a result of/from biological males being allowed in women's sports. Wake up people . This is not about volleyball being dangerous. It's about opening women's sports to men being dangerous (on so many levels).

No mention of the fact that the person who hit her with the ball was a man?

Damn that's a tough break right there so sorry that happened to her😞

An athletic, biological man who's body developed as a male is obviously stronger and should not be playing against females. Anyone who says differently is delusional or trolling.

So pretty. It's disgusting how society enabled a man to hit a woman like that. Idc what he thinks he is, his biology doesn't lie.
