In this video, I show you how to properly rotate your tires on your car (Tesla Model Y). This is an in-depth tutorial that applies to a Tesla Model S, Model 3, Model X, Model Y, and any other car. It is important that you rotate your tires because, over time, they wear differently. To ensure your tires last a long time do as I instruct in this video.

Great info. You might want to add to change the tire pressures on these wheels after rotation. We've different tire pressures on front vs rear wheels.

But the stock model X has different size front and rear wheels and directional rims so you can't rotate anything unless you go aftermarket wheels first, and even then you would be reversing direction which is generally not recommended.

Your plan only works if the front and the Rear tire sizes are the same.
My model S had different sizes front and rear.
Also if you have air suspension you need to put the vehicle in jack mode.

I just did front to back on each side, I didn’t do the cross. Am I going to have any issues?

Can you do an X pattern tire rotation as well on the Model Y AWD?

Tesla Mobile mechanic came and just put the rear straight up to the front and the front straight back to the rear, no criss cross!!!

This is the only video on YouTube where someone actually does it correctly. All of the other videos has some clown jacking up the vehicle and proceed to take off the wheels using the jack as the support. Then you got other clowns copying that clown and soon it's a freaking circus. If you don't have access to a lift, you can still do a tire rotation by lifting at the control arms and then putting a jack stand where the pucks go. That way you can get a jack stand on both lift points on each side. I've been working on cars for over 25 years and I swear I see Tesla owners do the dumbest crap. I'm just waiting for one day when the jack fails and someone loses a finger, hand, or foot.

By the way, great video but I do have one suggestion. There is a service menu that you should go into which will immediately reconfigure the tpms location. I do that after every rotation so the tpms location is correct rolling out of the garage. It may automatically adjust but I do things by the book.

What are the chances that a standard tire shop will use Tesla pucks?

You didn’t address how to reset TPMS after tire rotation. How is that done?

I don't know about this. I'm going to have to stick with Tesla's recommendation and simply move front to rear and rear to front on the same side keeping rotational direction the same. Not on every car, but at least on my Teslas

Model Y performance has different size tires on front vs back. So this video doesn’t work for a model Y performance when it comes to pattern.

It’s amazing that nearly everything about this is WRONG. That’s hard to do. I guess, nice job?
