I’m not worried by the result. You look at that defence alone, half the players that started in our back 4 today (Lindelof and Wan Bissaka) will likely be sold very soon. We still have 7 defenders yet to come in (Shaw, Martinez, Maguire, Dalot, Yoro + probably De Ligt and Mazrauoi).

So funny how we all think "these players won't be starting or won't be here" and then the season comes along and I'm certain we'll see Casemiro, Rashford, Antony, Mount, McTom and most of that defence playing very regularly indeed.

You're not bothered about a result like that when the Liverpool team didn't have Allison, VVD, Robertson, Trent, MacAllister, Szoboszlai, Diaz & Nunez? Utd had good passages of play because Liverpool's team allowed it.
Friendly or not, that should be concern when a team with so few 1st team regulars on the pitch manages to beat you so comfortably 🤷‍♂️

It has been really dumb to not keep Amrabat and having during pre season . If uTd don’t sign at East Delit and Suharto or same player it’s going to be a mess this season.

If Rashford had passed the ball to Amass when Amass made overlapping runs United would have caused Liverpool more problems with his early crossing, all Rashford was doing was trying to pass to his best mate Sancho

Some good stuff, but the press can be beaten too easily. If they can sort that and find a little better balance between insanely high press and the big hole behind it when it's beaten, it will be fine. The only 2 concerns I have are the injuries and scoring goals, but we have players coming back. Much improved in possession and chance creation. A plan B is essential when it stops working like around half an hour in when Liverpool drew the press on going even deeper and played through. We didn't seem to be able to do much different or adapt once that happened.

Rashford has scored 1 penalty in the whole of preseason that's not nearly good enough, tonight all he did was try to find his bestie Sancho hoping he'd save his United career forgetting he could pass to the over-lapping left back, he's lost a chunk of his pace and can barely beat defenders anymore....it's not even gane day 1 and I'm already sick of this lot and this narrative that Rashford is back firing. We need to sell him before he's put in a stinker and isn't worth any money at all.
