I don't tell family and friends I have Bitcoin. I brought it up once at a gathering and everyone was a financial 'expert' all of a sudden and told me not to get involved. The same people were doctors during covid and gave medical 'advice'.

Your friends shouldn't know you hold significant amounts in bitcoin.

UPDATE: Since it blew up, if you talk _about_ bitcoin long enough, most people will assume you have lots of it; often more than you really have. You don't want that. Keep your mouth shut.

I'm at the stage where I'm done defending and just doing my thing & DCA. If people don't like it, I just advise them to stay away from it and ignore it.

Sometimes in strategy games like Chess or Connect 4, or sports games, one side has already won and that’s visible to knowledgeable players and observers. Not visible to the novice or close minded. But the game still goes on killing the clock or going back and forth through the motions with the outcome already settled (provided no big totally unforeseen event happens that wipes out the whole game happens). Bitcoin already won and will keep winning; and fiat already lost and will keep losing. Many people just haven’t know that yet.

There will always be a lot of resistance with new things. I am 60 and saw it all my life.

Same with the internet, online shopping, streaming services, mobile phones, surgical robots etc etc

People are mostly laggards.

Everyone deserves the price they get.
