About the vowels and the habits, please remember that even though her english is very good, she's not a native english speaker and she tends to have a little bit of accent to her.
That being said, it's a great pop song but a neautral song voice-wise. If you'd like to check her voice, and hers is considered to be one of the best on the pop scene, you should check 'Symphony' performance on Voice, "Killing Me Softly" performance at Apollo or as @misho0o33 said earlier 'Never Forget You' on Jimmy Fallon (although I do think her voice is a little bit strained on that one). You wont be disapointed. And you may actually recognise those songs from the radio.
Personally I just hate that she used to be THE rising pop star, especially in Europe and all of her great material has been ruined by shitty management... You should check how many reactions there are to her songs like 3 years ago! She was THE shit!

Zara wanted to learn to dance when she was eleven. She's a wonderchild and they do it their own way. Did she chose jazz, modern or hip hop. No, of course not, she tested in front of a jury at the most difficult dance academy.
