The song sounds like a demo... hopefully it'll be reworked before you release it on the final project... but its good tho... here's my take and my 2-cents - please consider it before you go further with the overall project...

Out of ten:
Instrumental: 8 - it's good, but it still revolves around the same sounds we are used to - it lacks that revolutionary touch... if you are producing an album nje you will do good, kambe the probability that it'll become a classic is low... but the composer[beat maker] u na voko ra kahle tho...

Vocals: 7 - they are plain in some instances... but generally the voices are good...
they are plain tho, so work on that..

Mixing: 4 - there's noise and clicks and static pops in the recorded vocals (and or instrumental) which could have been cleaned out in the mix... the vocals are a bit dull - a ngana that excitement the mixing should've brought... The marimba are not well balanced - it's evidence ku they were not paid attention to as a whole - higher pitch sounds stand out more than the lower pitch ones, so boosting the whole progression to make only the bass louder affected the first half negatively... the instrumental drowns the vocals most of the time - also consider using compression on the vocals, they are not level... I assume the recording had noise hence the heavy filtering - try reducing your gain when recording to avoid the sound - the biggest simplest and best trick to having a clean, good mix is having a clean recording in the first place... editing, especially when done amateurishly eats away at the quality....

Lyrics and content: 8 - it is mostly well written
, just don't get carried away with the gimmicks...

Gimmicks: 7 - [gimmicks in music are not necessarily negative things - they are devices used that are not necessarily part of the musical content itself, like samples and chants etc... basically they are used as space fillers ...] so with that said, more could have been done to glue them better to the song for coherence, especially la ku sungulaka risimu ...

Arrangement: 8 - you managed to stick to the ordinary arrangement ya music wa xiTsonga - just that ti gimmick tale makumo almost spoiled that by being repeated too many times, and they were plain
...

Overall Production: I'll give you a 6... the ideas were good and most of the implementation thereof, but the quality hi yo inga mi wisa...

Mixing a yi lavi vulolo... it's one of the biggest things that bring down all South African music - you find that even some of the biggest artists in the country have lazy engineers... always try produce quality work... take your time - dont rush, hiko ku onhekako swotala...

Get all the help you need, consult others, humetani ti mali if that's gonna get you a better product... Don't be afraid to invest in yourselves..
read a little, watch tutorials if need be... collaborate... just don't be islands....
