TGJ has always been good, but I agree with some other commenters that they are getting even better. They sound much tighter as a unit, and with Harumo too. She’s one of their “5th Beatles” for sure.

That sax solo. Woah. Harumo is really up there. Many people don't bother to play actual lines and motifes and just show off their theoretical and technical skills. The best people combine all of those things. Harumo is the latter.

Emi is killing it!, MiMi is on fire (as usual!), Rina's bass thump is so low it makes waves on my speakers! And Harumo was SO good it's unbelievable. I beat musical school playing saxophone and it was top tier level.... i know the sax pro when i see one. Also i just love Japanese jazz scene, what a musical revival for all the world.
