That was great Vlad, but there is a more simple way of looking at this, which is that represents the kind of angry childish reaction you would get from a 5 year old who didn't get the present they wanted. I shall always see Putin as an angry toddler who threw his toys out of the pram, because he never got the respect he wanted. Unfortunately he is a toddler with a huge ability to cause harm, which includes nuclear weapons. Sigh....

To me Santa propaganda looks almost like "Are we the Baddies" (That Mitchell and Webb Look). Nobody watching it will feel they are the good guys.

I think we could say as a rule of thumb: When a government has to resort to having a fictional character decleared as a foreign agent and on top of that also makes propaganda about destoying the same character, then that pretty much tells you all you need to know

As a russian myself, if that “cultural revolution” mr.Radchenko is talking about is really taking place, it is as bizzare and almost lovecraftishly mad to the inside observer as to the one that is outside.

It’s anger that you can’t generate a culture that is even strong enough in your own country.

People in Nigeria, or Thailand or Bolivia argue about the predominance of western/US culture. As do people in Russia.

No one argues about the predominance of Russian culture in those countries.

In that sense, Russia has more in common with Bolivia than the USA….
