So, forensically, there is a way to distinguish between the DNA of identical twins using a method of DNA amplification that includes the methylation pattern of the DNA. This is a normal chemical alteration of DNA that everyone undergoes, however, even if two people start out with the exact same DNA methylation pattern when they're born it changes over time so that you can distinguish between identical twins. This method has been used to solve at least one other case where it was unclear which identical twin was the perpetrator. Source: I'm a biochemist & genetic genealogist.

I dont know if the narration is a real person or AI but it doesn';t matter because I really like listening to it. Really nice accent and pace. Not only that, these videos are always so well done and always interesting. Well researched with great delivery. Thank you

The thing that always gets me about the first case, the twin that was innocent and was arrested first, didn't even want to really tell the police about him because he didn't want to get him in trouble. The other brother? Tries to blame it all on the innocent twin knowing that he'd be sent to jail for life if he was convicted. Wow. Just wow.

I feel sorry for the lady who lost her son, and then lost a granddaughter as well. Life certainly is not fair, and her granddaughter should open her eyes.

Mental illness/addiction is NO EXCUSE for violence. I have asperger's, bipolar, depression, ptsd, panic disorder, chronic pain, and more but id never commit an evil act like these devils. They deserve to be held RESPONSIBLE for their actions bcs it's on THEM if they get PROPER medical care and take their meds, they should get the 💀 penalty.

I wonder how far they would have gone if he had not said he had an identical twin 🤷🏽‍♀️🤔

i used to live near where the first case took place. that mall is closed now and is actually used for filming. it was used in Stranger Things.

my ex built a cave set in there for Secret Headquarters. i used to bring him lunch and he wouldn’t let me get out of my car there cause it’s in a horrible part of town. sadly stuff like this happens a lot in the area.

that poor mother i can’t imagine the pain of being accused of killing your baby and not being able to be there in their last moments when she knew all along she wasn’t guilty

In the mistaken antifreeze case, Prosecutor George McElroy should have been sent to prison for life. What a disgusting excuse for a human being.

The negligence and misguided focus of Scotland Yard in the Wimbledon Commons case infuriates me. They selected the easiest mark to pin the crime on at the expense of Mr. Stagg's life and let a viable suspect run around freely and victimize more people.

Police get tunnel vision, seeking to clear cases rather than catch the actual criminals. Their methods often get cartoonishly ridiculous.

I was once the suspect in a felony theft case at my workplace. They did their level best to construct a ramshackle case against me, taking anything they could regardless of truth or context to basically run a character assassination. I was interrogated for hours on several occasions. I was polygraphed three times, all inconclusive though each time they told me I'd failed in efforts to elicit a confession. All that time they ignored other far more viable suspects. The hell only ended because the actual thief was an idiot; he promptly used the stolen cash in conspicuously large amounts. In the end he confessed to a mutual coworker, believing that because I had bern charged with the crime.

I respect police who seek the truth in order to keep the public safe. I have no respect for those eho only want to clear cases at any cost.

Case 3 the Rachel Nickell murder, poor Collin was a vulnerable person who had some intellectual developmental delays and social difficulties and they didn't add that Collin only wrote the troubling fantasy letter because he thought that would make lizzy like him. He was lonely and desperate and the police and media destroyed his life. Robert Napper is evil and his disgusting actions destroyed so many innocent lives.
