Thank you Nanci and Frederico. Your discourse is creative, it seems to me, and not merely reiterating some formally held beliefs or ideas, and this is refreshing and revitalising. Mathematics (about 30 mins in) reminded me of my relationship with JS Bach, and how that is at odds with the profuse academic analyses of his music, which seem to imply that Bach was clued in to (or influenced by) contemporary mathematics. I reflected that the experience of creation comes first and the mathematics is the result of the expression (not the other way around.) The music was not the result of cleverness, but of immersion in the realm of higher consciousness and union with the creation (or that's one way of putting it.)

Thank you for this interview. I never heard Faggin say “life is the only structure that consciousness could embody”. Evolution of communication brought that about.

Eventually, instead of there being a hierarchy of consciousness, there could be a single universal consciousness, which permeates life, acting according to the metabolisms of each species.
If this thesis can be realistic, the question to be observed is whether there is a hierarchy in the cognitive power of different living beings? And if this characteristic is recognized, the second question would be: Why, if on Earth, we acquired the apex of cognitive power and yet, our consciousness does not realize that we will not be able to survive without the rest of biodiversity in balance. So how do we free ourselves from such a paradox?
