Dude is a champ in name only. He hasn't defended the belt since winning in March 2023.

We're coming up on 18 months of no title defenses, even if you were being generous due to injury or death in the family, the MF should be stripped by that point. No interim champ shit. Stripped for being unable to defend for whatever reason (ongoing injuries, legal issues, laziness, etc).

Jon will be more respected from fans if he fights Aspinall and loses than if he just retires after the Stipe fight. Of course Jon will twist the narrative and try to convince himself and social media that Tom is not worthy of a fight with him, but everyone is smart enough to see through his BS at this point.
