Today, Thursday 24th of March we celebrated our National Anniversary of the beginning of the Greek Liberation Cause in 1821 from the Ottomans. Tomorrow, there is a pupils parade in every town, in the memory of our ancestors fights for liberty.
We had presentations, lectures and a dance performance. A great number of our school mates participated in the dancing event. Others took part in presentations of the historical events.
Today we are in good relation with our country neighbors but in the past there were serious conflicts which ended with the end of WWII and the fall of dictatorship in Greece in 1974. Ever after we have enjoyed democracy.
Do you celebrate any such anniversary or your country never had territory problems?
