This Bible story may also describe, what it looks like through God’s eyes when the Law has to be enforced. Even though the king loved Daniel the law still had to be enforced regardless of feelings. I absolutely love the fact that you are sharing the gospel. I would like to point out though that Daniel was actually in his 40's, not 80 when he was put in the lions den and it was only overnight. (Not six days. Daniel 6:17-23NIV)

This is one of my most favorite stories from the bible. It has been a favorite since I read it in a childrens version of the bible when I was a young boy that also explained this is a shorter form but also with pictures to give more context of the lesson and the meaning of his example of having faith in God no matter the situation.
