It's good to cover the belt. It's a piece of kit that goes with everything. Whenever I'm in the public I tend to look at people's belts.... it speaks volumes. That's a nice low-key belt!

Being partial to doing the worm in public after a few drinks, I've suffered a few belt-related bruises over the years. I saw an ad for this the other day and wondered if it might be the answer. It looked like it was either: a) so neat and simple it doesn't really work properly or; b) so neat and simple it's amazing no one thought of it sooner. Looks like they're onto a winner.

Great product to review, thank you for the hard work! I have owned several which I bought a year ago and have enjoyed them greatly, easy to wear and best of all no gut pinch. My utility belt at work is a 511 with a Cobra buckle and while I love how easy it is to take of when you are running to the bathroom after bending down a lot it does leave a belly mark. My Grip 6 belts have never had that problem, going to check out their duty belt after watching this. Glad to find such a well made, high quality product that is still made in the U.S.A., worth the $ and I expect it will last a life time.

Randall, this is a great topic to cover. We men love our belts...just ask my closet. Shoes and belts. The other stuff is just so I don't offend the public :) The buckle on the Duty Belt is large enough for a morale patch. Hmmm...velcro and morale patch. Big whup...two words and you got me LMAO! I have been wearing a (well, several) Wilderness Tactical 1.5" five-stitch instructor's belt for 25 years. It is a great field belt and will easily carry my normal loadout, which includes a sidearm and spare mags most of the time. They are great belts with plenty of stiffness to keep gear where it belongs and without a lot of flopping about when moving. The one thing about the WT belts is that the velcro must be renewed periodically.

My question is about how the Grip 6 will carry the load. Any thoughts on this?

Title of video says duty belt but when he cut to their online pic, it made sense that it was a tactical belt. I couldnt believe a duty belt was an inch and a half. But i def like their tac belts.

Cool belt but the grip 6 product I'm currently digging are the socks. They're like Thorlo but tighter and lighter. I'm not sure how long they'll last (I still have thorlos from a 2006 deployment) but they are super comfortable and of course wool not cotton.

Great review! How does the rigidity compare to the Tenicor Zero belt for CCW? Is it just a floppy riggers-type belt, or is it rigid?

Like you, I was skeptical about this belt but I love mine. I was interested in the work belt to serve as a "gun belt" for concealed carry. This helps me in my decision process. Thanks.
