Chazelle was criticized by many for choosing that montage ending. I think it's one of most powerful parts. I love "Babylon" all of it but those last 10 minutes I adore. I love this is becoming a trend. I think "Babylon" will become a cult classic sooner than later. I don't think he could have predicted this trend but I'm loving watching these montages with people's favorite movies since that's what the film is about: a love letter to cinema. Nicely done!
