Do and where whatever you want fellas. Life is too short to care this much about what others think.

My sister is a stylist and she helped me learn that If you want 4c hair to fall just grow it out then when its long enough get twist then after a few days wet the twist a little then take em out for that curlier look. Its called a twist out. Just make sure to use lots of good conditioner for Black hair.

Wish you the best in your hair journey. Afro textured hair is very diverse. Braids, Twists, Dreads, Curls, Freeforms are coming back into style. Just a heads up, longer hair takes a lot of maintenance. Must wash, condition and moisturizer consistently.

I been growing out my hair for over 3.5 years and there were some really tough times where I faced a lot of criticism and judgement that you can just feel. You learn a lot about yourself and people in general and I believe it’s contributed a lot to my personal and spiritual growth

You can visually see who's balding in the comments with how mad they are that your growing your hair out & they can't.

I'm happy to see Black American men (and women) growing out their hair (twists/kinky/curly/natural, etc). It's at a point now where it's become acceptable in society and in the workplace (where years ago it wasn't). I stopped going to my longtime barber about a year ago, and I started trimming my own hair. I've saved SO MUCH $$ doing it, and it's almost therapeutic for me. I've stopped with the low cut fades and I've grown mine out too. Great video!

Go for it man. I did the same thing when I was younger and it eventually evolved into locs and the women loved it. I received the pushed back as I was growing it out and once I cut it yrs later there were a lot of sad faces lol. You’re a lot younger than me but I watch your content because we think the same. I have a girl, but it’s always good to see a liked minded individual at work.

This is one of the things I agree with Austin. Growing out your hair will do wonders for you. Once I started growing out my hair, girls actually started giving me choosing signals, I used to rarely get choosing signals but now since I have long wavy curly hair, I've been getting choosing signals, girls coming up to me, and etc. *I would not recommend getting a haircut because it will ruin things very fast.*

That shows a lot confidence to be able to change your look..Once your hair starts to really grow, you'll be glad you grew it

I have long hair type 4 hair, Austin it's going to be hell at first but once you get past the beginning stages it's gonna be worth it, the versatility is crazy, twist, braids, curls you name it

Started to grow my hair out after the military and when I started college and eventually let them loc.

It’s a super cool experience, watching your hair grow, especially since a lot of guys may go bald one day. Yea, there is some adjustment, but it’s actually less demanding than when I had waves.

When Michael B had the locs with the fade in Black Panther I knew that was the look I wanted. Hope you enjoy the journey!
