THIS IS A FINNISH FOLK SONG
Who can sail without wind? is a folk song known from Finland's Swedish countryside and it is believed that it comes from Åland. It goes in minor at 3/4 time. The opening line is found in the fifth stanza of an 18th century poem, "Good night, good night, my dearest" and in its current form the song was first published in 1909. The poem relates to a theme that is common in sailor songs - to be separated from it you are in love
