Finally! Please keep on this. We need FISA reform and a repeal of the patriot act. We need a digital rights amendment.

When the FBI is concerned there may be a huge number of homegrown terrorists that they may have missed and that could be massing for a coup, I'm not so uncomfortable about their straying from straight and narrow searches.

It because police think they can take all your rights if you've ever been in trouble.unless your friends and family or pay them

3:45 if we only know this because they revealed it, maybe some outside investigation is needed to see if they were honest and revealed everything

And some Americans will defend this abuse of power like having a tyrannical government is a good thing.

Are we hearing FBI are running suspects’ names through databases without warrants to find out if those suspects have connections to foreigners? Is that what this is?

The question those engaged and participating in the illegal invasions and intrusions of others very personal privacy ought to ask themselves is how they'd feel if people were illegally reading their private correspondences...?

When you're engaging in such crimes and illegalities you're destined to be wrong, every single time, about who someone else's private correspondences are directed to and meant for, and the essence of them. Messages that were never meant for you in the first place. Yet if you garner and muster the courage and intestinal fortitude to correct, admit to, and right your wrongdoings, crimes and illegalities you'd quickly find out why you were wrong all along by being willing to have an honest discussion with the person you're illegally targeting.

Criminal suspects being investigated in databases does not seem far fetched to me. I only have to wonder if there was a warrant to investigate the suspects in available databases. If there was, there is no problem here.

So....they used tools that were available to them to gain information about possible criminal suspects. How is that "inappropriate?"
