Zgrooves made me realize something that has allowed me to feel so much more comfortable. It doesn’t matter if anyone else thinks a sound that a cymbal, drum, or implement doesn’t sound good if you enjoy the sound and use it tastefully.

Edit: the hcs slap stack in this video is a gray representation of this idea. Man could’ve had any of the meinl slap stacks he wanted, but that’s what sounded good to him.

tbh I am not the biggest fan of Zack’s snare tone in a lot of his videos but in this video it is absolutely amazing. So much pop and sensitivity.
