Here in florida, we like at least 6 inches of freeboard, especially if you run in the gulf, plus it's nice to have some big pumps in the boat.

Bad ass as long as you don’t run in any deep water. Old boy might wanna do a hull swap on that bad boy. Might want to think about a counter rotator as well to offset all that engine roll. I’ve seen boats with to much torque go right to the bottom of the creek before. It’s all fun until it ain’t lol. Beautiful boat though sounds like it’s running very strong.

What I love about these boats, besides growing up watching a show called Ben about a kid and a bear in the Everglades the kid was played by Ronnie Howard's little brother, anyway his old man had one of these boats, but besides that I love the way they have a minimal impact on the underwater environment, I know they were designed that way so they could go over reeds and mud flats etc, and I know they weren't thinking about what was environmentally friendly in the day, but they are, perhaps the noise does frighten nesting birds and of course any nesting in the reeds may get squashed, but they are still much better than propped boats by a mile,
