Autoresolving sieges where you are the attacker is usually not a good idea. Even if you win, you will likely lose a lot of troops, because the game heavily favors defenders on autoresolve. Number of troops doesn't work the same way in sieges as it does in field battles. You can't rely on outnumbering the enemy, because even if the defenders are outnumbered, the boots they get on autoresolve can lose you what seems like an easy battle. I very strongly recommend that you fight the sieges yourself if you're the attacker. And if you want to autoresolve, do it when you're defending. That way, you get rid of the entire enemy army instead of having half of them run away.
