''Vln''-Alexandros Iakovou-Mirologi

“Mirrors” is the second personal album of the violinist Alexandos Iakovou.
In these compositions -using from one to sixteen violins at the same time, in the same track without using any other instrument- he is trying to explore the rich sounds and the possibilities that the violin is offering, quoting in the meantime musical sceneries from different styles (from jazz improvisations as an example to music styles from Epirus).
The violin on this specific album, sometimes works as a percussion instrument and sometimes it supports the harmony which always walks into melodic lines and artfully panels with freedom and boldness.
The sound processing was made by Thodoris Damourakis and the artwork along with the pictures were made by Leonidas Massavetas.
The recordings were made in the “PR” studio at Porto-Rafti in the Fall of 2018.
