Показать описание
Hello happy people,
Germans celebrate the high time of carnival in late winter, in preparation of the 40 days of lent until easter. It starts at 11.11. 11:11 o´clock and lasts until Aschermittwoch, the start of the lent. Depending on the region, carnival is also called “Fasching”, „Fastnacht“ or „the fifth season of the year“. At our city, Aschaffenburg, the Faschingparade returned after the pandemic pause. Fasching, on February , is a festival that brings joy, fun, parades, costumes and an opportunity to break free from the rut. During the time of the Carneval, you can dress up fancy and wear a mask, dance on the streets, be a part of a comical skit, or attend a masquerade ball! One origin of the Carneval is the idea that all people are equal and even change roles, like as master and servant, lower and higher ranks. And often the leaders, secular and religious are parodied. All enjoy the day as much as they can. Parade participants toss small toys and candy into the crowd.
“Helau, helau, helau!” That is the traditional greeting during the Carnival here in Aschaffenburg.
Here are parts of the parades for you
