FSU Football and Miami Football...two brands that have seen extended runs at the top of college football and two brands who have recently fallen on hard times. On Late Kick Live #35 Josh Pate took a viewer question about which formerly great program in college football he'd love to see return to form. Regardless of which Sunshine State program you choose, we discuss how a return to elite status for FSU or Miami would fundamentally alter the balance of power in the ACC and the balance of recruiting in college football. The problem isn't recruits for FSU and Miami, it is coaching.

Willie Taggart is the worst thing that's ever happened to our program, period.

Teams like this HAVE to start shaking up the top 10. We need teams like FSU, Miami, Tennessee, UNC, Minnesota, Texas, etc coming in as perennial threats to the top 10. College football is borderline boringly top heavy right now. The big boys have almost no legitimate yearly competition to the playoffs.

If Miami get itself together....it would be scary honestly!

With the incentive to now pay players in Florida for their likeness, we may keep some of our guys. But you know... Saban owns a few car dealerships and so does Dabo.

Josh, one day you should come to Boone and watch my Mountaineers play. Quite an experience.

I believe Norvell will patch FSU up in the next several years. Miami's administration has been out on football for a while now. Even with the best high school football scene in your backyard, you can only push a program so far without institutional support.

This is so easy. Miami should put an indoor facility in Belle Glades. FSU should put a facility in Sarasota.

The ACC is not nearly as bad as he makes it seem.

Miami needs to recruit their own back yard instead of letting these guys go to Ohio state, Bama, etc. They always are national championship contenders when they get all the kids from miami

I think the big shift in the sate of Florida has also been teams like Oregon coming in and scooping players out of the state as well and UGA starting to become a major program under Kirby. Out of the top 10 players in FL for the 2021 class 2 are committed to UF the rest are going out of state and those 2 are from Miami and the same school. If we are going to get it togther we have to keep our guys in state. You look at guys like Derrick Henry go to Bama and you think what if he stayed home.

It's not going to be this year for FSU. My Mountaineers are going to give them their first 'L' on 9/5/20 (if there's CFB this fall).

Miami doesn't have the attendance at game's to ever be relevant in college football ever again.
