AI is going to steal our jobs. That's the mantra we've been hearing for quite a while now, but is it true? Today we'll look at some of the most popular and highest-paying careers out there to see how AI will affect them. We'll talk about some practical use cases for AI, and some career advice for children growing up in an AI world. The reality of the matter is that AI should be stealing jobs in the "three D's" - dull, dirty, and dangerous. Other jobs could perhaps be improved upon with AI.

Where I’m looking for AI to have its largest initial impacts whether it replaced jobs or reshapes them;

- Education
- Transportation
- Life Sciences/Genomics/Diagnostics
- Healthcare Services/Providers
- Payment Processing

I also think how the consumer interacts with AI in day to day life is a gradual progression that’s some ways away. But I don’t think it’ll be a smartphone moment but rather a smart home moment. Infrastructure is going to be slowly upgraded to include some form of generative AI, accelerated computing we probably hadn’t thought existed, but once it becomes a feature everywhere you go will likely need to have it. Smartglass technology is a really cool fucking thing, there’s a recent IPO this year Gauzy, Israeli company developing smart glass for use in commercial and personal spaces. Imagine doing your computing on the fly using any window or surface that’s compatible as your iOS.

So many cool ideas !

My partner works in medical imaging with AI assisted softwares. Sometimes AI categorises CT images wrong, chest to abdominal etc. But most of the cases it helps in the administrative part. Still in early stage of machine learning, causes headache sometimes, and extra work due to errors and double checking, but all together intersesting to see how this is going to pan out in the long run.

I have worked in a car part factory for years as a supervisor and asked one of the problematic machine operator: "Who you like to work with the most?" And he answered: "With the yello ones" Meaning by that the yellow kuka robots at the automated work stations. That is one of the most brilliant answers I got in my life, tells so much about us.

The use cases ive found so far within my business are primarily in basic customer care (not much more than a sub in for people who cant read faq's), marketing and sales. LLM's write a pretty solid pitch. Basic graphic design (which is most of it in practice) and its good for bouncing ideas off to try to identify anything youve failed to consider. It definitely has its limitations still though. It isn't always accurate even when it sounds convinced and its terrible at writing in a story format.

Great content! AI robotics in agriculture would be a great video topic in my opinion. The US and other developed countries are facing agricultural labor challenges due to demographic issues. We are extremely reliant on young Mexico and LatAm migrant workers to harvest and process our food, particularly fruit vegetables and nuts in California while most Americans are pursuing skilled, high value add jobs. The pool of labor is shrinking and it remains the highest cost for farms.

I remember NFT's. Monthly visits to chatgpt are imploding. The fact that LLM's are programmed by Leon Trotsky is not helping.

Energy medicine will be the future, I am selling phototherapy patches(related to stem), but it's way ahead of the time and people don't see how powerful it is. 😅

1:10 I think you should not underestimate China .
Remember that your starting slides say PRIVATE investing, while i think investment by government can be way bigger. The lack in AI chips is the only thing that is keeping China at bay for now, but once they find a way around this, things might change extremely quickly. They are also suffering from an aging population, so motivation to replace humans is high.

I'm much more concerned about all the fighting aged men and gangsters coming across the border. Maybe we should ask AI what we should do about this.

I would put down some coin for an AI home assistant to do some housecleaning. Heh.

I have to say I do not agree with this narcissistic need of the white collar to replace people of the 3 D’s in the blue collar world. This automatic assumption that we would rather do something else. Some of us enjoy the danger, like getting dirty, and really don’t mind a dull monotonous day on occasion. It’s just how some people are wired. I wasn’t built to work in a climate controlled box with artificial lighting everyday, god bless those that do. Some of us choose a different path because it’s what we enjoy, otherwise what’s the point in living.
