A buddy and I have been using the Xvive U2 system for a couple of years. We A/B the system with a cable and heard virtually no difference. Perhaps the wireless was ever so slightly brighter because there's no cable capacitance to deal with but the difference was barely noticeable when we did the A/B test while playing solo. I doubt it could be noticed in a band situation. Besides, it's always easy to roll off the high end a bit if you want (but it's completely unnecessary).

One caveat: It operates in the 2.4gHz spectrum, same as wi-fi so if you're within 3 feet of a router you may get drop outs. It's a good idea to check out the wireless function during sound check at a new venue. I keep a cable handy during gigs just in case but have never needed it (a bandmate using a similar Line6 wireless has but I think it was because he forgot to charge it, lol).

These things work fine. I have probably done 200 shows with mine and I would give it an A or A-.

The biggest problem I find is they are easy to lose or misplace.

I would be much more tempted to buy something like this if it used USB-C. I've decided that I've ruined enough electronic devices by stretching the micro-usb port to last me a lifetime.
