Second go at making a carbon arc lamp. This time using a 140 amp arc welder as the power supply and 200 amp rated jumper cables as leads.
I also had a play with the light filter from the helmet that came with the welder. It makes a pretty decent UV pass filter with basically no visible or infra-red light getting through it.
