I have a question, what if same system, but we have to simulate with a step input?
Is it still right to use a derivative block if we use a step input?
Since the derivative of numerical constant value is 0.
How would that work or how can I model with step input?

Any help is widely appreciated.

What about when there will two mass.... Means two equations then how we deal it....?

No where you have mentioned initial conditions while integrating. what are initial conditions for this problem

Thanks for the explanation! Why is there no m*(d2y/dx2) in the equation, where m is the mass of the spring and the shock absorber?
