I learned something recently. Like previous seasons of the X Factor in the UK, the live auditions and semi-finals were filmed at Fountain Studios. Although the minimum age for competing on the X Factor (almost all versions in the franchise) is 14, audience members at Fountain Studios had to be at least 16. After the last semi-final, it was decided to move the final to the Wembley Arena, which over 12, 000 seats. This resulted in the minimum age for audience members being lowered to 8 with the accompaniment of an adult. During the semi-finals, everyone at Fountain Studios were forced to turn their phones off and put them away. Another rule was for those people at Fountain Studios to stand up for what seems like a long time, especially during the opening and closing titles, after the ad breaks, and during the upbeat performances. At Wembley Arena on the other hand, the rule forbidding people to capture the moment is dropped. Not only that, but instead of forcing people at the Wembley Arena to stand up a lot like in Fountain Studios, they are actually *encouraged* to do so.
