20 years. Universal Kids will be officially dead. March 6, this week. So i finally made this video to honor this channel shutting down. Sprout has been so much to our childhoods and Universal Kids had a great run while it lasted. It sure had some ups and downs most of the time, but it was still a great channel. The final logo history of this series.

Losing this channel really sucks, but to all who loved watching this channel when they were kids, Universal Kids (aka PBS Kids Sprout) will always live on in their memories and hearts, And so with heavy hearts, we wish one of the channels that made our childhood a fond farewell. RIP Universal Kids, RIP.

I've been exclusively watching the channel on its last days. Still hard to believe its actually going away. No rebrand, no successor, just poof.

But considering its programming variety, or lack thereof, & improperly-managed scheduling, there were signs that Universal Kids was on its way out.

Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony (Universal Kids, Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network). It's potential was evident, especially with DreamWorks at Universal's disposal, but its execution is what's lead it to this fate.

Sprout has been a very fascinating part of my childhood, and clearly, it was enjoyable to watch. Sadly, I don't know about Universal Kids honestly because I don't really watch so much of it. But yeah, it is officially dead. May the channel rest in peace.

Now I'm starting to think the channel really WAS awesome in the PBS era; and I think my earliest time watching it was before when the 2005 era was giving way to 2009's NBC-years preparation era.

Even though my favorite era was the NBC and LazyTown years; I think they started showing the _Who's the Boyfriend?_ movies, because these are kiddie live action romantic films about teen love made by Paramount starring babes like Larisa Oleynik (1998, 1), Hilary Duff (2002, 2) and Amanda Bynes (2008, 3).
