This hard-to-find 1958 Plymouth Belvedere was transformed into a "Christine" movie car tribute and you'll see why she has a mind of her own. We spotted the infamous car at the Adirondack Nationals in Lake George, New York.

The sleek lines and the red paint makes her look... WICKED! Love IT!

At least the hood was only difficult to close. She took a bite out of a factory worker in the movie.

I graduated High School in 1978, about the same time as Arnie Cunningham. My Christine was a powder blue 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 XL. I was TA in auto shop at Torrance High School from '77 to' 78. Doc Thompson was the teacher. So many parallels in my life to my favorite film. Thanks for sharing this memory.

Thanks for sharing this beauty! And thank you to the owner for keeping her running!
Admittedly, I'm more of a GM guy myself, but can certainly appreciate the beauty of the other makes cars, and especially the _countless_ hours of hard work put into them... 😊👍👍

Well, your car is not only beautiful but it is also still accurate even though it's a Belvedere since most of the cars in the movie were Belvederes and Savoys that were only made to look like Sport Furys, and, in the book the car is a fictional four door Sport Fury, when in reality there was no such car as a '58 Sport Fury four door, so it actually would have been a Belvedere or a Savoy and not a Fury at all. Thanks for featuring this gorgeous car!

Scary thought, cruising down the highway & seeing Christine in your rearview mirror. 😬

Just Love this beautiful 1958 Plymouth Belvedere aka Christine and it would have been nice if they had started up the car just to hear her rumbling exhaust

Not only was the speedometer converted to a 150 mph Fury version, the Idiot Lights for Oil and Amps and Clock were replaced with a factory looking Ammeter and Oil Pressure Gauge. I believe @furyjim does those gauge conversions.

I know where there's a 57 Belvedere setting in the woods with about 60 or 70 other cars. The old guy refuses to sell anything. Now this car isn't in good shape. It is straight and not rotted out but no interior, engine/trans or front bumper, grill or headlights. And yes, it's red!!! I've been negotiating with him for about 4 years now. He hasn't even seen any of the cars in about 10 years or longer, but he still can't bear to part with any of them.
