I put to the test 5 fertilizers this spring on my side yard, to prove who was the best. The results shocked me!

So what does the test reveal? It shows that no matter what fertilizer you use, if the grass doesn't want to use the nutrients provided it's not going to. In this case I'm 99% sure it was too soon for my area to be fertilizing, and the lawn was using up the nutrients it stored last fall. It was an interesting test for sure!

Screaming green! better than anything I’ve tried even the stuff pitched often on YouTube. It’s a green like you’ve never seen!

Good video Tim. I think all the fertilizers work. I have noticed better results when applying soil amendments such as root Hume, sea kelp and Humic granules with the ferts. Who knows, like you said once you have a healthy lawn the results aren't as noticeable. I personally dont get the wow factor anymore however grass is dark and looking good. It was more exciting to me the first couple years getting serious about the lawn. Cant remember who said it but they said each cultivar of grass can only get so green. Anyway good video and I will watch your upcoming videos regardless of your next move.

Keep the TEST!!

Also the late fall heavy fert throw down really helped my lawn wake up incredible this spring.

Good video. I used Carbon X for the first time this spring and my grass really took off. It’s never been this thick.Really impressed 👍

What fertilizers are you using this Spring and when do you plan on applying? I'm next door in Mass so I'd like to copy your schedule and products you use. Thanks

Nice test! When I lived in the North, I noticed that it did not really matter what I put down (I use to put down milo, a local liquid compost, or scotts.... whatever, I was in the mood for). Fall was way more important. However, no matter what you use really only matters long term (even fast release). If you have a yard you have been taking care of, the lawn isn't going to go crazy with one app different or even missed. If you never put anything down, it will show up a lot faster. I am learning this isn't as true in warm season Bermuda. To the left of me, my neighbor uses a service that uses liquid urea. To the right of me, my neighbor uses generic weed-and-feed. I use milo and Carbon X. My Bermuda is way more blue-green. Right neighbor burns out (I warned him about the weed-and-feed). Left neighbor looks healthy as mine, but not as think as my turf. Long story short: save your money. Super expensive ferts don't matter as long as they have the right NPK and maybe so micros sometimes. (PS, I have no faith in super juice. I watch doc because he does have some nice hints at times. However, I personally hate liquid and don't want to be in my yard every week spoon feeding liquid.... I do have a life.)

I'm not a big Milorganite fan. I picked up some Scott's Green Max with iron. It's phosphorus free and had good reviews.

In my opinion Super Juice is a waste of money and time . I put it down at 4 times the suggested rate. No difference.

You should be able to use super juice all summer long. It appears to be the same as greene County N-ext 0-0-2 product. It can also supplement during times when your not pushing your yard during non growth periods.

Super juice is more of a soil amendment and needs to have multiple apps to build it up in the soil.

Don’t know what you mean that nobody puts drop settings on their bags. All the Scott’s ones I use do. The best is their Green MAX.

Grass Daddy, I started using Xgreen 8-1-8 by Matt at Carbon Earth and it is amazing. The newest version with the peptides...In my opinion it is an excellent carbon based fertilizer with humic, sea kelp, iron, and micro nutrients...I'm dominating my neighborhood already!!! lol I'm upstate n.y. where the temperatures have been very cold and just started getting into the 60+ degrees... I also use N-EXT bio stimulant 4 pack.

Definitely keep the test going till next spring. I'm curious to see if they have long term benefits or drawbacks. Also, I know it's a little late, but do a soil test for each of the strips and see how that changes too.

Initially at 20 days. Carbon x was darker. Go for the domination line, it shouldn’t be hard by just applying a weed control. 😁

Just curious, is your soil PH in a good spot? I’ve heard that is a major part of your lawn accepting nutrients properly

Been using PGF Complete since it was released and it works really well on my Bermuda lawn here in Texas. Using the NXT liquids (air 8, rgs) So far it's been great!

Lesco Starter fert 18-4-12 is an excellent early season first app for Northern lawns.

For the CarbonX, what setting did you use on the drop spreader?
