Personally, I think this is both Aaliyah and DMX’s best film. It’s so unbelievable that they are both no longer with us anymore.

Back in high school I used to work at a movie theater when this movie was released - I'd just slack off and sit in the theater and watch this over and over. DMX, Jet Li, Aaliyah - 3 of my favorites. As 2000ish as this movie is/was, I still like it to this day. And Anthony Anderson before he went all nice guy.

Ah yes. One of my childhood movies I watched. One of Jet Li's best movies and I can't believe it was modern retelling of Romeo & Juliet with Martial Arts Action twist. And I can't believe Aaliyah died one year after this movie come out.
