10 Tips to deal Fussy eaters
1) Make eating a Unique Family style - Turn the TV off so your family members can talk to each other instead.
2) Avoid Food fights - If your child is fussing about food, ignore it as much as you can. Giving fussy eating lots of attention can sometimes encourage children to keep behaving this way.
3) Don’t bribe kids for eating - Withholding dessert sends the message that dessert is the best food, which might only increase your child's desire for sweets.
4) Keep trying – Patience is the key.
5) Variety the food - Serve a variety of brightly colored foods.
6) Make food time fun - Serve veggies with a dip or sauce. Cut foods into various shapes. Offer breakfast foods for dinner.
7) Involve kids in menu planning - At the grocery store, ask your child to help you select fruits, vegetables and other healthy foods. Don't buy anything that you don't want your child to eat.
8) Make kids tiny chefs, involve them in cooking - At home, encourage your child to help you rinse veggies, stir batter or set the table.
9) Cross the bridge - Start by asking your child to lick a piece of food, and work up to trying a mouthful. And praise your child for these small attempts.
10) Respect your child’s appetite - If your child isn't hungry, don't force a meal or snack.
