I'm scrolling through YouTube videos.. I've heard all kinds of preachers on here. I heard you speak of Christ and thought now he gets it. Then I looked down to subscribe and saw Ligonier..and smiled. RC is still part of my Christian journey..I was ravenously watching every sermon and theology talk I could find, and had no idea he went home. He changed my life, long after his death..what a legacy. I want to tell him how much I love him and thank him for his faithfulness to God's Word.

A Christian is someone who is clothed in the Righteousness of Christ. A Christian is someone who is chosen by the Father, given to Christ and drawn by the Holy Spirit. A Christian is someone who trusts in the FINISHED work of Christ, when on the cross He cried out "It is finished"!!! A Christian is someone who ceases from his own works and labors to enter the "rest of God". A Christian stops looking at himself and looks only to Jesus, believing that he is COMPLETE in Christ and his sins have been paid for and put away.

There has never been a time in history - at least I don’t think - where men can stand behind a pulpit as a full time job. I appreciate what he is saying but the rest of us common folk have to work really difficult full time laborious jobs for corporations that are constantly taxing our integrity. Not to mention that we are surrounded by coworkers who are proudly unsaved.

A Christian is someone who YIELDS their understanding to JESUS. They do not say I know better or Scientists know better. JESUS is UNCHANGING, Science changes and their understanding of GOd's Creation changes.
