I want the vanilla interface on VLC, but just black, not the new UI, not a skin, just the normal windows UI but black, all buttons in the same place. Sad that Linux and Mac get vanilla dark mode, and windows does not.

Absolute splendid tutorial. I recently tried newer builds, and i wasn't able to get to dark mode with these ones. It just refused to work. We do not need to talk about VLC Skins, lel :D. I never thought of using an older build. You are an Eye saver. After 2 decades of using, i finally get rid of that VLC eyeburn :'D I can't wait for an official stable build! Thanks man! Dude, you are amazing. Thank you for this video, it really helps me, because i start using VLC on android first (and dark theme in android you can get with first time you starting the VLC on default, without experimental versions), and now i get for birthday the laptop, where VLC not looking so good in original. You are my hero, and my eyes don't hurts anymore because of the dark theme of Windows and original theme of VLC.

It would have helped if you linked the EXACT installer file you used. I tried using 2 different installers, and they were so unstable that they were completely unusable and I uninstalled them.

can you suggest a stable version date I downloaded the latest one it pauses for a minute whenever i jump to a video duration.

This is the best thing! but there is one problem, sometimes when I pause, the time slider gets lost, I can't rewind it because I can't see the stop point, all the time is orange. I will try to download the new version, I hope it has been fixed, the old one from the beginning of March

VLC devs are probably the most idiots out there after the Gnome devs based on they are stubborn at keeping that ugly crap interface "tradition" for no specific reason. I so much hate that VLC ugly interface and complexity of how to reach anything close to comfortable dark interface, which all other players ship as default look out of the box.
