- Once the download is complete, run the installer and follow the installation instructions.
2. Open Visual Studio Code:
- After installation, open Visual Studio Code by searching for it in your applications or using the shortcut created during installation
3. Install Live Server Extension:
- Inside VS Code, go to the Extensions view by clicking on the square icon on the sidebar or pressing `Ctrl+Shift+X` (Windows/Linux) or `Cmd+Shift+X` (Mac).
- In the Extensions view, search for "Live Server" in the search bar.
- Find the Live Server extension by Ritwick Dey and click on the Install button.
- Once the installation is complete, you may need to reload VS Code for the changes to take effect.
4.Using Live Server:
- Open an HTML file or create a new one in Visual Studio Code.
- Right-click anywhere inside the HTML file and select "Open with Live Server" from the context menu.
- Alternatively, you can use the shortcut `Ctrl+Shift+L` (Windows/Linux) or `Cmd+Shift+L` (Mac) to start the live server.
- This will open your HTML file in a new tab in your default web browser, and any changes you make to the HTML file will automatically trigger a refresh in the browser.
That's it! You've successfully downloaded and installed Visual Studio Code along with the Live Server extension. You can now use Live Server to quickly preview and develop HTML files with live updates.
