Didn't western media such as CNN, BBC and even Indian media said that the Chinese Government have neglected and destroyed the cultural uniqueness of cities in Xinjiang including Urumqi? But what i see are clean cities and well planned and developed infrastructure and most importantly i see happy people everywhere leading a normal life.

One thing in China I noticed that is very different, and tbf, very advanced than India is the social equality and mobility (also physically). For example,

Laddies can do anything anytime anywhere legally without fearing any safety concern, harassment, etc.

In any given place, touristic or not, while you think people are local, they actually are from all over China.

People are friendly and nice, buying/selling stuff is honest, not bcz your skin or accent is different, so I'll add a zero on the price tag.

In short, China is a harmonious society❤

Xinjiang is the most beautiful province(autonomous region) in China, not just Urumqi. Your can appreciate the splendid nature views in North Xinjiang and you also can experience wonderful ethnic atmosphere (Uygars, Kazak) in South Xinjiang.
