Excel VBA Introduction To The Coding VBA Section
Показать описание
The is the introduction to the coding section.
We've seen that recording macros is useful, but it only gets us part of the way there...to really harness the power of excel, we need to go beyond that, and learn to code...
VBA is a language just like any other. It has words, grammar and syntax. To code well, you need to know how to use them properly.
Through your coding career, you will write many snippets of useful code, and you should keep a copy of all of these in one central location, so you can use them again in future. This essentially enables you to code "Lego-style"...dropping all the bits one on top of the other until you've built a sophisticated solution.
I would advise against keeping these in the "Personal Workbook" as that is stored locally on your PC. Great when you're at home, but no good if you're at work...or your PC breaks or gets stolen! Keep all your code in your "Macro Book", and if possible, store it in the cloud...it's quite safe there!
