The violence in Manipur began soon after a rally organised by the All Tribal Students’ Union Manipur in several districts of the state on May 3. This rally was organised to protest against a Manipur HC order directing the state government to consider inclusion of the Meitei community in the Scheduled Tribes list. The real problem is this- meitei want to protect Manipur but hates tribal who are also an important stakeholders
They said we are brother but they chant HAO HATLO (whic means annihilates tribals).They consider tribal as outsiders and treated badly. Every department in Manipur is 90% meitei although tribal constitutes 43% of the population(so sense of neglect develops among tribal). Unless meitei leant to live together crisis will continue

We the hills don't believe the CM.
The hills are under the VI Schedule which the govt denies the provisions to the hills. Its a subjugation of the rights of the hill people. Rather, d govt tried to acquire it by means of declaring it as forest, sanctuaries, wetlands, etc. The intention behind this is known.

The Meiteis who are a majority community is seeking protection under ST status…. Majority needs protection!!!! If majority communities needs protection then how much more protection is needed for the minorities????
Remember the CM of the state is always from Meitei community…. Out of 60 seats 40 seats are for Meteis community…. The government is in their hand…. And they seek protection….
Them try their best to make the tribals suffers in order to make them run away and take refuge somewhere…. They cannot used the direct forces so they use politics…. They stated calling the kuki community specifically from churachandpur illegal immegrant, refugees and by many others names…. Their tactic fails…. It doesn’t even shaken the kuki community a bit…
They made the change in plan…. They said many poppy cultivation are done in hilly areas… the CM took the initiative to make it his goal to destroy all the poppy cultivation…. CM must be thinking that people will retaliate and will go against him but infact the tribals supported them…. Even the kukis community we’re dealing with this problem and appreciated CM for taking those steps…. Meitei plan fails again…. Nobody protest…
Then CM declare many of the hills area inhabited by kuki community to be reserved forest and pass the order to evict it… later came many JCB/ bulldozer and the houses were destroyed…. People became homeless…. CM Biren rule Manipur like a Hitler…. He used commandos and police the way he wanted…. Ordered number of arrests for a mere social media comments against him…. He targeted mostly the kuki community…. Real Hitler of our century…. This spark the anger within the kuki community…..
they destroyed churches saying that was built illegally….. a church was destroyed!!!! Thats an attack on the religious belief…. They were able to forged papers/documents and declared the church on unauthorised land… bcoz the churches were in Imphal(meitei populated area) and the state government is in their hands…. This double up the anger and the tension between kukis and meiteis….
Lastly the meitei who are in majority and have their own language writing scripts and were a princely state before freedom…. Now demand for ST status…. Thats sounds awkward right… the tribals protest it…. They do peacefully protest for if they - the meitei were given ST status then the others tribes will be in problem…. Job, land everything will be snatched away from the tribals…..
now when Meitei saw they are not winning they used violence at last resort….. they enter our kukis villages which were in boarder line to meitei major villages while all the kuki villagers are busy attending the peaceful protest in Lamka town….. in the absence of villagers they burnt the centenary and our houses and vehicles….. from here the violence started….. the CM captured all the licensed guns from kukis but meiteis goons were spotted with guns and assault rifles…. Meitei burnt down more villages and churches even rape our sisters….
Now the kukis are demanding the PRESIDENT RULE but guess who are opposing the PR- MEITEI…. They blame kukis to be the one doing violence and doing the killing then why they dont want PR…. Bcoz if PR is enforced then the local meitei will have no more power….

I am a Meitie, the mainland inhabitants. Our CM Biren did what a good leader has to do for the state. But, very disappointed to see Kukis stood against it taking laws in hand.

Kuki leaders are trying everything to make sure the world see their violence is for Scheduled Tribe issue.

If the issue was only for Scheduled Tribe thing, it was just discussions that was needed solve the issues.

But, no.. Things were and, are a completely different matter inside.

Kukis were brought to Manipur by Britishers.

We Meiteis saved Kukis once in 1993.

Please tell me who would like:
1) More immigrants keep entering your state non stop and giving them the title Kuki.

2) Also, the immigrants include militants, poppy experts, labourers and others as well.

3) And with this power they want a separate State out of your State.

4) Rampant cutting down your forests to plant Poppies.

Now, tell me..Would you want this to happen to your state? What would you do?
