A narrow band of appeal here, made narrower by the choice of movement, but a sweet little watch with a lovely dial. Some great colours too if you do wear this style on a more regualr basis. Cheers, Jody

Absolutely beautiful watches, the dials remind me of the poster for Fritz Lang's 1927 film 'Metropolis'. Very stylish.

They did a great job with these watches. Very impressive designs. Truly excellent.

Reminds me of the Oris rectangular. Really good looking piece and that side profile👌👌

That is a beautiful watch, especially in green. I do like a watch I can forget is on wrist.

I like it. If i ever go vintage again it will be a 40's Gruen Curvex.

Nice, I like it, it's unexpected from a brand like Second Hour. I have to say, in this case I prefer the more conservative colours. Quartz makes a lot of sense here. "Australia" on the dial is a nice touch.

I like the small second. It is very much in line with the watches of the epoque it draws inspiration from. I do love the fact that is curved. Good effort.

I don't mind you telling us about your 177.8 millimeter wrist in each video Jody, as anyone who only watches the occasional video or has only just come to the channel for the first time won't know about your 17.7 centimeter wrist, and even frequent watchers may forget your wrist is 0.583 feet, so it's not a problem to hear about your 0.194 Yard wrist in each video. Thanks for your diligence on things like the "spec sheet" shot and the wrist shots!

Having almost given up office work and with a super slim Tissot dress watch I've yet to size let alone wear in the months since I bought it (Jomashop again damn them!) plus an Orient office watch I havent worn since BC I dont need a dresser.... so why have I already checked delivery cost (very reasonable) and converted tthe total to the Queens shilling?

Beautiful watch with bonus points for being Australian. If it were a 2 hander I'd have picked one up already, I'll have to make do with my Seiko Dolce in the meantime.

Loving the Bad Batch shirt Jody! I hope you are enjoying it as much as I am.

That green really changes hue so much even in your footage, probably because of changing light sources and white balance. It's really hard to judge what you'll get, but one thing is for sure, dark it will not be. Dark olive even less. That said, I think it might have looked better with a much darker (perhaps dark olive) strap. I usually have a preference for green, but not in this instance. For what it's worth, I think a small seconds 'complication' is one of the best things to deliver on a rectangular watch and it also gives plenty of opportunity to play with art deco patterns. It works very well here, even if the second hand looks a little perfunctory. I mainly regret that all of this effort went in to deliver a quartz watch for occasional use with a movement with a 25 month battery life. That just doesn't really gel with me. Certainly this watch would have benefitted from a mechanical movement that just stops between these occasional moments of use. In fact, the ideal situation for a hand winder, which might have stood a chance to keep that thickness so beautifully thin. I would have been seriously tempted with a hand wound movement, even if it was a highly affordable Chinese one, but as it stands, it's a relatively highly priced quartz (especially after 20-30% import costs) that looks very attractive but has too much convincing to do.

That's a handsome dial, and the proportions are quite nice for a "Tank" style watch. My lifestyle isn't such that I could justify the expense, as "suit and tie" occasions are currently pretty rare, and this watch almost demands a suit and tie. We're I a bit more affluent and attended more gala events however, I might pull the trigger on this one. Simultaneously subtle and eye catching. Thanks for the review.

Very nice indeed. I have a small Pulsar Tank watch that I like, this is a step up. Hmm, I want it, especially the blue one, will have to think about it. Perhaps next time they have a special.

Lots to like, but then there's the Vario Versa reversible which is more tempting to me

I like it, I really do. Simple lines, straightforward and done really well. What's not to like for going out of an evening in the fancy dress?

Puts me in mind of my Longines Dolce Vita, minus the small second hand and a date complication. I love the style!

For me the silver dial with the blue hands is the winner. I would probably swap the strap out for a nice brown leather strap. Maybe ostrich.

Unfortunately, I already have two dress watches. Which is two more then I really need 😊

Mr Jody, excellent review as always. The watch looks stunning, no doubt. Have only one remark thou, 20USD (retail, maybe 10USD wholesale) Ronda 1069 Quartz movement in a 350USD watch? If I must compare, how about you get any Mercedes model with Wartburg 2 stroke/3 cylinders engine? Wold you spend this money on the watch, if you have to pay for it? Cheers

Very classy, you know you're somebody when you got a square watch. Reminds me of my Bulova "Attorney"
